Val di Fassa
This valley, rich in cultural traditions, offers incomparable beauty of the Dolomites and numerous sports facilitiesAmidst mountains, Valle di Fassa lies in the north-east part of Trentino. The Avisio river flows through the well-known alpine valley surrounded by the most spectacular and famous Dolomite peaks, such as the Sella Group, Sassolungo, the Catinaccio with the Torri del Vajolet and Marmolada. Ice and wind modeled the rocks creating the steep walls, towering spires and daring pinnacles typical of these mountains which have always been a source of wonder, a favorite destination of rock climbers and the inspiration of old and convincing legends. The attraction of the Fassa Dolomites is further enhanced at sunset when the sun´s rays seem to set the rocks alight and they turn a warm red color creating the phenomenon called "Enrosadira", the extraordinary beauty of which never fails to cause astonishment. Valle di Fassa conserves all the charm of a land where nature has created an environment of incomparable beauty which the local population is extremely proud of and which they make every effort to protect, as they do their customs and traditions. In fact the valleys around the Sella Group in Valle di Fassa conserve the Ladin language and culture. Source: www.visitdolomites.com

Soraga
In Ladin "sorega" - from the Latin expression "super aqua" - clearly specifies the position of the town next to the Avisio stream. Located on the hillside of the Valaccia and overlooked by the Catinaccio group together and the Roda di Vael, Soraga is a true art workshop, where sculptors and carvers shape in everlasting wood all the emotions collected on the Dolomites. Devoted to peace and relax, this traditional Fassa-style centre offers its increasing number of admirers the chance to experience pleasent walks to discover handcraft shops, tiny rural hamlets, as well as exciting mountain-bike tours along the bike-paths connecting Moena to Canazei, and also a well-equipped playground where kid can wildly and safely romp. Fedaia Pass
is almost overshadowed by the nearby 2km long Fedaia Lake, at the foot of the magnificent Marmolada glacier, also known as the Queen of the Dolomites. The Marmolada glacier is one of the most popular destinations in the Dolomites region for skiers, riders and mountaineers. History lovers enjoy the Marmolada’s sordid past, still evident throughout the area, where a 12 km long tunnel carved into the glacier once served as a shelter to weary soldiers and nearly 700 rests from WWI can still be seen in the Museo della Grande Guerra, a private war museum. From the pass and across the Fedaia Lake, you can catch the Pian dei Fiacconi cabin lift to the upstream station where incredible views of the Val di Fassa and the surrounding Dolomites abound. There are plenty of walking, hiking, cycling and climbing activities to enjoy in the area. The Fedaia Pass is also a paradise for off-piste enthusiasts and mountaineers. Tesero
is the sport and culture center of the Val di Fiemme. In winter it is known for its cross-country skiing trails, for the slopes of the Ski Center Latemar and for the cribs. In summer on its lake you can practice sport fishing and Nordic walking, or walk along its roads to discover its artistic heritage. Tesero rises at the center of the Val di Fiemme valley, in front of the Lagorai Range. It is an important winter resort thanks to the Lago di Tesero Cross-country Skiing Center, with about 40 km slopes on the Alpe di Pampeago. The charming snow covered landscape is the perfect environment for "Tesero e i suoi presepi" (Tesero and its cribs): from december to january a lot of cribs are set up in the most picturesque sites of the village, and in Piazza Cesare Battisti a life size nativity faithfully depicts local architecture. This event is now famous well beyond regional borders, since these cribs were displayed even in Vatican. Tesero is also the artistic and productive center of the valley: famous is in fact the production of wood musical instruments, furniture, doors and windows made following an ancient tradition in the many artisan workshops. Carezza Lake
In the Val d’Ega valley, only 6 km from Nova Levante, there is an emerald green mountain lake - Lake Carezza. Due to its impressive colours, in Ladin language it is called “Lec de Ergobando” (Rainbow Lake). Lake Carezza - Karersee in German, Lago di Carezza in Italian - is fed by subterraneous springs from the Latemar Group and his water level is constantly changing. The highest level is achived in spring with a depth of 22 metres, whereas the lowest level in October reaches only 6 metres. In summer months the lake is fed by snow melt. A circular trail leads in 20 minutes round the lake which is accessible by public means of transport as well as by car - on the opposite side of the street there’s a large parking space (chargeable). In winter, however, the “Fairytale Lake of the Dolomites” is frozen and covered by snow, which is very impressing. source: www.suedtirolerland.it
